Production coming to LRHS

The La Reina High School Regent Performers will present "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."

Shows will be Fri., Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.; Sat., Dec. 13 at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Sun., Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.

Willy Wonka is played by Kelsey Redmond, and Charlie Bucket is portrayed by Marnie Vaughn. The show tells the story of a poor little boy with a good heart who dreams of being able to buy the candy that other children enjoy.

Charlie enters a magical world when he wins one of five "Golden Tickets" to visit the mysterious chocolate factory owned by the eccentric Willy Wonka and run by his capable crew of Oompa-Loompas.

After Saturday's matinee, a meet and greet event will include refreshments, character autographs, onstage photo opportunities and a show souvenir.

Meet and greet tickets are $5 each.
