T.O. Library hosts events

The Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library has announced its upcoming events schedule.

•The Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park Branch libraries will close at 1 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 24 and remain closed on Thurs., Dec. 25. Regular hours will resume from Fri., Dec. 26 to Tues., Dec. 30.

The libraries will close at 5 p.m. Wed., Dec. 31 and remain closed Thurs., Jan. 1. Regular hours will resume on Fri., Jan. 2.

•The second session in the Opera Talks series will be held at 2 p.m. Sun., Jan. 4 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Dick Hutman from the L.A. Opera Speaker's Bureau will discuss "The Magic Flute," play music from the opera and show scenes from a DVD. The program is free and open to the public.
