Meeting will provide info to prospective foster parents

An informational meeting for those interested in foster parenting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wed., Dec. 17 at 4601 Telephone Road, Ste. 112, Ventura.

More than 600 children are currently in foster homes in Ventura County, and every day another child is removed from their home because they have been neglected, abused or abandoned.

The meeting will be conducted in English only.
