Jewish genealogy group meets

The Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura County will meet from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mon., Dec. 8 at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The subject will be "One-Step Webpages: A Potpurri of Genealogical Search Tools." Guest speaker Stephen Morse, creator of the OneStep Website, will describe the range of tools available and give highlights of each one.

Morse has won the Lifetime Achievement and Outstanding Contribution awards from the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies and the Award of Merit from the National Genealogical Society for his website.

All attendees will receive a genealogical gift, and all members who renew their membership for 2009 will be eligible to win genealogical prizes. Refreshments will be served.

There is no charge to attend the meeting. Annual dues are $25 for individuals and $30 for families.
