Five families open holiday decorated homes of community to tour

Tattersall house Tattersall house The community is invited to tour the homes of five families on The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura's 17th annual Holiday Homes Tour from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sat. and Sun., Dec. 6 and 7.

The self-guided tour of Conejo Valley homes is the organization's largest fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting The Wellness Community's free programs of support and education for people fighting cancer and their families.

"The Holiday Homes Tour is an inspirational event and a welcome tradition in our community. It brings people together to kick off the holidays and gives homeowners and visitors the chance to help people fighting cancer," said Suzanne Drace, president of The Wellness Community.

Kathy and Roger Clark's classic American house is in Agoura Hills' Countryside Estates. One room showcases their children's baby clothes and favorite toys, as well as the Clarks' childhood possessions. Another room features Roger Clark's rare editions of Civil War books.

Heather and Terry Heller's Georgianinspired Westlake Village home has a contemporary flair and a tropical backyard.

JoAnn and Mark Tattersall's large Cape Cod-style home is also in Westlake Village.

Professional interior designers Valerie Pugliese of Decor & You and Bane Grove of Grove Adams Design have decorated the home owned by Martha Vincent-Gattis and Billy Ridge.

Owner of the local design firm La Maison, Mary Radenbaugh is opening the home she and her husband Steve share.

During the tour, complimentary massages will be offered at the holiday gift boutique at the North Ranch Community Center, 1400 N. Westlake Blvd. in Westlake Village. The boutique will offer specialty gifts from local vendors and artisans in a holiday setting. Musical groups performing athe open houses include the Los Robles Master Chorale, the Agoura Hills Harmony Chorus, the Shepherd of the Hills Church's Victorian Carolers, Westlake Lutheran Church's Trinity Ringers Handbell Chorus, and pianists Ted Lucas and Joan Thompson.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. The tour cannot accommodate wheelchairs or strollers.
