The California Coastal Commission invites all students in kindergarten through grade 12 to enter the 2009 California Coastal Art and Poetry Contest.

All entries must have a state coastal or marine theme. Winners will be selected in both art and poetry in each of four gradelevel categories: K3, 46, 7-9 and 10-12.

Winners will receive a $100 gift certificate to an art supply or book store and other prizes.

The winner's teacher will receive a $40 gift certificate for educational materials.

All entries must be postmarked by Sat., Jan. 31 and include an official entry form.
