Girls' softball accepts sign-ups
      The Thousand Oaks Girls Softball Association (TOGSA) is accepting registration for its 2009 recreational season for girls ages 5 to 16. Walk-up registration will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., Nov. 22 and Sat., Dec. 6 and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sun., Nov. 23 and Sun., Dec. 7.

      All season long, La Reina head tennis coach Bowie Hahn has told his squad that every point counts. On Tuesday afternoon that advice paid off. In its CIF-Southern Section Division III quarterfinal match, La Reina defeated Long Beach Wilson in points, 8380, after ending the match deadlocked at nine games apiece.

      Ventura County Fusion's Premier Development League men's team is seeking soccer players from the Ventura County area who believe they are good enough to play professionally.
