Applications are being accepted for the Miss Ventura County and Miss Ventura County's Outstanding Teen Competition. The deadline for contestants is Dec. 1.

The competition is open to young women ages 13 to 24 residing in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

In the pageant, contestants will be judged in private interview, talent, physical fitness (teens in athletic wear) and evening wear.

The competition will be held Sat., Jan. 17 at the Moorpark College Performing Arts Center.
