Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Month

Shawn Guckian is a member of the Colina Boys & Girls Club in Thousand Oaks and an eighthgrader at Colina Middle Schoolwhere his strongest subject is math. The 13yearold was selected because of his outstanding attitude and his willingness to assist any staff or club member when asked.

As a "Youth of the Month," Guckian is a candidate for "Youth of the Year," a Boys & Girls Clubs of America program that recognizes exceptional members across the nation.

Guckian's penchant for service makes him a natural in his capacities as a BGC representative at Colina School Site meetings and the club's front desk administrator. Shawn looks forward to being at the club every day after school where he can "hang out and be with friends."
