ACTION Foundation will sponsor its fifth annual Community Christmas Shoppe benefiting Ventura County families.

The shop will be at Simi Presbyterian, 4832 Cochran St., on Sat., Dec. 6 and at Dove Ministries in Oxnard, 241 Hill St., and Newbury Park First Christian Church, 801 Knollwood Drive, on Sat., Dec. 13.

The event brings volunteers from local churches to serve more than 600 low-income families, providing toys for Christmas.

Qualified low-income families are invited from local churches and agencies such as Sarah's House, Lutheran Social Services, Housing Authority, Lighthouse, Ventura County Sheriff's Department, City Impact, Salvation Army, Many Mansions and Project Understanding.
