Seminar will focus on copyright, mediation

The Institute of American and Talmudic Law, in partnership with the Conejo Jewish Academy, will host its inaugural continuing legal education seminar in Southern California from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fri., Dec. 5 at Hyatt Westlake Plaza, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

David Nimmer, counsel at Irell & Manella, will discuss the origins and modern day applications of copyright law.

James R. Felton, managing partner of Greenberg & Bass LLP, will discuss "Law and Justice, Mediation and Arbitration."

Rabbi Sholomo Yaffe, noted Talmudic scholar and widely acclaimed speaker from Hartford, Conn., will discuss the approach of Judaic law to legal issues.

The institute is a New York Citybased nonprofit organization that provides continuing legal education to attorneys and other professionals.
