Sheriff's Blotter Newbury Park The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 73, at 8:21 p.m. Nov. 4 on eastbound Hillcrest Drive, east of Rancho Road; a male, 25, at 2:02 a.m. Nov. 5 at Kalinda Place and Hillcrest Drive; and a male, 19, at 12:15 a.m. Nov. 3 at Kimber Drive and Reino Road (subject had allegedly been involved in a traffic collision). A male, 37, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possessing a glass smoking pipe and marijuana at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 4 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 22, allegedly battered and injured his spouse Oct. 20 in the 600 block of Paseo Esmeralda. He was arrested at the East Valley Sheriff's Station on Oct. 30. A robbery occurred at 11 p.m. Oct. 18 at Avenida del Platino and Calle Turquesa. The crime was recently reported. For allegedly fighting in the parking lot of Bella Luna restaurant at 579 N. Ventu Park Road, two males, 28 and 23, were arrested around midnight Nov. 2. A male, 27, was cited and released for battery at 10:45 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road. A male, 27, was cited for being involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision at 5 a.m. Nov. 5 atVentu Park and Lynn roads. On suspicion of being drunk in public, two males, 19 and 20, were arrested at 10:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 800 block of Verna Avenue. A male, 22, was arrested and charged with giving police false information at 10:55 p.m. Nov. 1 at Ventu Park Road and Hillcrest Drive. A thief misappropriated and failed to return property on Nov. 4 in the 1900 block of Newbury Road. Property was stolen between Sept. 1 and Nov. 4 in the 2300 block of Borchard Road. Shoplifting occurred at Kohl's between 7:07 and 7:55 p.m. Oct. 30. Property was damaged ($500 loss) between Oct. 31 and Nov. 3 in the 600 block of Paseo Esmeralda. Vandals sprayed Silly String on someone's property and poured an unknown liquid— possibly syrup—in a mailbox on Nov. 1 in the 1100 block of Turtle Creek Lane. A vandal damaged a vehicle ($600 loss) on Oct. 30 or 31 in the 3800 block of Briar Ridge Court. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and times: On Oct. 30 or 31 in an unspecified block of White Oak Lane; and between 8:10 and 8:25 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 1800 block of Rock Springs Street (unlocked). Thousand Oaks The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 32, at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 1 at Flittner Circle and Glen Oaks Road; a male, 24, at 9:55 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 200 block of N. Moopark Road; and a male, 25, at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Moorpark Road (subject had allegedly been involved in a traffic collision). A male, 48, was arrested on charges of battering and injuring his wife at 11:05 p.m. Oct. 30 in the 1600 block of Fordham Avenue. A male, 39, was arrested and charged with stalking and making someone fear for their personal safety at 7:25 p.m. Nov. 5 in the 1500 block of Briarglen Avenue. A female, 21, was arrested and charged with domestic violence at 9:07 a.m. Nov. 2 in the 1000 block of Calle Almendro. A male, 38, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Nov. 1 in the 100 block of Flittner Circle and charged with inflicting corporal injury to a cohabitant. A female, 40, allegedly violated a domestic restraining order and was arrested at 9 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 1800 block of Foursite Lane. On suspicion of stealing someone's property on a computer, a male, 38, was arrested Nov. 4 at the East Valley Sheriff's Station. A male, 47, allegedly violated a domestic violence restraining order by sending his estranged wife a text message on Oct. 27, and he was subsequently cited Oct. 30 at the East Valley Sheriff's Station. A male, 43, allegedly pulled a telephone cord from a wall to prevent his mother from calling police to report a crime. The subject was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 1900 block of Los Feliz Drive. A male, 37, was stopped for a traffic violation. Police say he refused to cooperate and tried to leave the scene. Police pulled the man out of his vehicle and arrested him on a charge of obstructing justice at 9:13 p.m. Oct. 30 in the 500 block of Spyglass Lane. A male, 34, was arrested and charged with shoplifting and possessing wire cutters to disable electronic security tags at Mervyns store, 285 N. Moorpark Road, at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 4. An unknown thief stole property from Mervyns between 1 and 1:37 p.m. Oct. 31. A laptop computer was stolen from an office on Oct. 20 in the 2500 block of Townsgate Road. Shoplifting occurred at Best Buy between 4:20 and 4:40 p.m. Oct. 25. A home that was being remodeled was burglarized on Oct. 30 in the 2300 block of McCrea Road. A burglar broke into a storage container and stole property on Oct. 31 in the 2300 block of McCrea Road. Property was vandalized at three locations in the 2200 block of Silver Spring Drive on Nov. 4. A vandal using black spray paint caused property damage at two locations in the 1900 block of Campbell Avenue on Nov. 3 or 4. A vandal shot a political sign with paintballs on Nov. 1 in the 800 block of Vinton Court. A prowler entered a backyard and stood near the bathroom window, perhaps peeping inside, at 11:45 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 100 block of Teasdale Avenue. An unknown male touched a woman's arms before running away at 8:41 p.m. Oct. 29 on Calle Castano, south of Camino la Maida. A dash-mounted DVD player was stolen from an unlocked vehicle between 1 and 5 p.m. Nov. 3 in the first block of Erbes Road. A vandal threw an unknown object at a vehicle, causing $450 in damage, on Nov. 5 on Moorpark Road between Camino dos Palos and Olsen Road. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On Nov. 4 in the 1300 block of Avenida de Las Flores; on Nov. 2 on Old Conejo Road (block unspecified); between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m. Nov. 4 in the 1300 block of E. Avenida de Las Flores (unlocked, $394 in property stolen); between Nov. 2 and 4 in the 600 block of McCloud Avenue (rear window broken, $100 in damage); between 8 and 10:20 p.m. Oct. 31 in the 2600 block of Whitechapel Place (unlocked, $400 in property stolen); and on Oct. 29 or 30 in the 1100 block of Alamos Drive (driver's window broken, $390 in total damage). Westlake/T.O. A female, 22, allegedly attempted to cash a fraudulent check at a Bank of America branch on S. Westlake Boulevard and was arrested at 4:35 p.m. Nov. 3. Property was stolen between 10 and 10:45 a.m. Nov. 4 in the 2900 block of Townsgate Road. |
