Media errors the topic at CLU

The chief defense investigator for several high profile cases will speak from 10 a.m. to noon today, Thurs., Nov. 13 at California Lutheran University.

Scott Ross, director of investigations for the Law Offices of Geragos and Geragos in Los Angeles, will discuss "Criminal Defense Investigations in the Media." He'll outline the role and techniques of a defense investigator and provide examples of the media misreporting evidence and prosecution errors in famous cases.

Ross has investigated and prepared more than 20,000 criminal and civil cases in the last 29 years.

Some of the high-profile cases he has worked on include those of Robert Blake, Michael Jackson and Scott Peterson. He has provided expert opinion for several major news outlets, including CNN, MSNBC and 48 Hours.

The free presentation will be in the Roth Nelson Room on Mountclef Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.
