City of Thousand Oaks launches new website

The city's website has a new look, with a home page that highlights online services available to residents along with Web pages for the Civic Arts Plaza and the library.

The website features links that will make it easier for residents to request city assistance, pay utility bills, file for a building permit and search city documents online.

A news feature on the site can be used to update residents during emergencies or provide information about what's going on around the city. In the news last week, for instance, was a story about when and where slurry sealing would be applied to the asphalt on the city's streets.

A video player has links to live and archived TOTV programming, including City Council meetings. Currently featured is a short video on water conservation.

The Civic Arts Plaza's home page displays upcoming performances, sign-ups for the Civic Arts Plaza's electronic newsletter, theater seating charts and tickets for shows.

The library home page allows patrons to search the catalog, request a hold and renew materials.

The website also includes links to Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency, Conejo Recreation and Park District, emergency preparedness, Los Robles Golf Course, maps, recycling, schools, transit and things to do.

The URL is www.ci.thousandoaks.ca.us
