Businesses Can Get Help from SCORE

SCORE (Senior Corps of Retired Executives) Counselors to American's Small Business is the premier free business counseling and advance service in the United States.

SCORE of Ventura County is a nonprofit association and is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

SCORE's experienced business counselors provide in-person and online counseling and lowcost workshops to existing small business throughout Ventura County in need of any type of business advice. The counselors have specific industry and general business expertise.

"We're here to help no matter what small business it may be," said Cristian Arrieta, chairman of the Ventura County chapter. "It's times like these that small businesses can get into trouble and although we may not be able to solve all their problems, we can help in most cases."

All counselors are volunteers who receive specialized training by the association. Every counselor interview is confidential.

Free counseling sessions are available at the Simi Valley, Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Moorpark chambers of commerce. For more information, call the specific Chamber for an appointment. Counseling is by appointment only.
