WHS kitchen workers say temperatures were hitting 100 degrees

      The kitchen staff at a local high school says they've been working in terrible conditions, with temperatures rising to 100 degrees. After eight weeks, they are finally experiencing some relief from Mother Nature—not from the district that they say should be helping.

Dance school hosts open house
      The Agoura Hills Dance and Performing Arts Center will host a 10year anniversary celebration and open house from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sun., Nov. 9 in the Agoura/Mann Cinema Center at 5015 Cornell Road, Agoura Hills.

CLU partners with middle school in T.O.
      California Lutheran University and Conejo Valley Unified School District have joined forces to pilot a professional development school. The partnership, which began this fall, gives students in CLU's School of Education experience in a middle school classroom while providing Los Cerritos Middle School with additional resources.

Heart event at Weathersfield a success
      Students at Weathersfield Elementary School in Thousand Oaks recently celebrated a monthlong heart campaign and Red Ribbon Week, jumping all over heart disease and stroke by participating in Jump Rope for Heart.
