Sheriff's Blotter Newbury Park Three males, either 21 or 22, were charged with the following: attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon likely to cause great bodily injury, assault, brandishing a deadly weapon, battery and conspiracy to commit a crime. One of the subjects possessed a jackknife. The subjects were arrested around 1:15 a.m. Oct. 30 in the 500 block of N. Ventu Park Road. The crimes allegedly occurred in the 300 block of Hodencamp Road in Thousand Oaks around 11:30 p.m. Oct. 29. The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A male, 23, at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 23 in the 800 block of Verna Avenue; a male, 48, at 9:10 p.m. Oct. 24 in the parking lot of Motel 6 at 1516 Newbury Road; and a male, 27, at 9:15 p.m. Oct. 24 in the Motel 6 parking lot. A male, 37, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 11:56 p.m. Oct. 27 at Ventu Park and Newbury roads. A male, 45, was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon at 6:56 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 600 block of Avenida del Platino. On a charge of violating a domestic violence restraining order, a male, 40, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 3800 block of San Marcos Court. A female, 47, was arrested and charged with inflicting injury on her spouse at 9 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 3000 block of Elinor Court. Homes were burglarized on the following times, dates and places: Between 12:45 and 12:52 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 700 block of S. Dearborn Avenue; between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 3300 block of Jessica Street; and between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 4000 block of Greenwood Street (property stolen from an open garage). Property valued at more than $400 was stolen between Oct. 17 and 20 in the 2100 block of Lynn Road. A male, 67, was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm after he was involved in a disturbance at 7 p.m. Oct. 15 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road. Since he started working at Target on Teller Road on July 7, a male, 41, allegedly stole more than $400 cash from his employer. He was arrested and charged with grand theft at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 24 at the store. On suspicion of possessing psilocybin mushrooms, a male, 19, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 3800 block of Buckthorne Court. A male, 23, was charged with resisting arrest at 1:54 a.m. Oct. 26 in the 1300 block of Alessandro Drive. A political sign was torn in half on Oct. 27 in the first block of Mayflower Street. An unlocked vehicle was broken into on Oct. 18 or 19 in the 1300 block of Kathleen Drive. More than $400 in property was stolen. Thousand Oaks A male, 24, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 2:25 a.m. Oct. 27 at Moorpark Road and Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The subject was allegedly involved in a single-vehicle traffic accident. On charges of resisting arrest and committing battery on a police officer, a male, 21, was arrested at 4 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 1000 block of Avenida de Los Arboles. The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances: A male, 35, at 1:10 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 3200 block of Cherrywood Drive; a male, 36, at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 3200 block of Cherrywood Drive; and a female, 35, at 9 p.m. Oct. 24 at Galsworthy Street and Gainsborough Road (subject allegedly possessed marijuana in her vehicle). Someone attempted to batter somebody around 11:10 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 700 block of Glen Oaks Road. For obstructing justice, a male, 29, was cited on Oct. 23 at the Thousand Oaks Sheriff's Station. A male, 57, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 8:15 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 3900 block of Via Verde. A female, 31, was arrested on suspicion of multiple identity theft crimes on Oct. 28 at East Valley Sheriff's Station. A female, 41, was arrested and charged with grand theft at 11 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 300 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 35, allegedly committed a similar crime in the 3500 block of Willow Lane and was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at East Valley Sheriff's Station. On a charge of petty theft, a male, 18, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 34, allegedly struck a pedestrian with his vehicle around 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at Calle Tulipan and Calle Narciso. The driver and pedestrian were found at the hospital about an hour later, but the subject apparently lied to police about details of the incident and was arrested later that night at 9:47 p.m. at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center. A purse was stolen at a restaurant on Sept. 19 or 20 in the 100 block of S. Westlake Boulevard. The crime was recently reported. Cash was stolen from a purse between 12:28 and 12:40 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 100 block of Westlake Boulevard. A female, 24, was cited for being involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision at 4:50 p.m. Oct. 24 at The Promenade in Westlake. A male, 58, was cited for vandalism at 12:45 p.m. Oct. 25 at Moorpark and Olsen roads. Graffiti vandalism ($500) defaced property in the 3000 block of Rollings Avenue on Oct. 23 or 24. For committing petty theft, a male, 18, was cited at 6 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 300 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. A home was burglarized between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 700 block of Calle Naranjo. For possessing a small amount of marijuana, a male, 18, was cited at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at Tennyson Street and Ciro Avenue. A male, 49, was cited for the same offense at 8:10 p.m. Oct. 24 at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Skyline Drive. A male, 18, allegedly provided marijuana to three juveniles— including the subject's younger brother—and the youths smoked out while he was driving. The subject was cited at 6:20 p.m. Oct. 26 at Floresta Court and Doral Circle. A female, 36, was cited for possessing medication without a prescription at 10:54 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 1500 block of N. Moorpark Road. A male, 19, was cited for a similar crime at 10:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at Westlake Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive. On a charge of being drunk in public, a male, 42, was arrested at 5:06 p.m. Oct. 27 in the 700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. A male, 51, was arrested and charged with the same crime at 2:13 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 1700 block of N. Moorpark Road. The following subjects were cited for drinking in public: Two males, 44 and 43, at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue; a male, 24, at 5 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue; and a male, 42, at 4:29 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 100 block of S. Oak View Drive Someone entered a home without permission between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in the 600 block of Paige Lane. The incident was recently reported. A petty theft occurred between 7:30 and 8:15 p.m. Oct. 24 in the 2500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. Property was damaged ($350 loss) between 6 and 8 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue. Two political signs were stolen from a front yard on Oct. 13 or 14 in the 1900 block of Erbes Road. Property was vandalized ($300 damage) on Oct. 20 or 21 in the 2700 block of E. Hillcrest Drive. A burglar entered a home with the intent to steal property between 6 and 7:06 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 100 block of W. Janss Road. Shoplifting occurred around 7:20 p.m. Oct. 25 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road. Fruit was stolen from a tree in a front yard on Oct. 26 in the 1300 block of Uppingham Drive. A car door was vandalized ($350 in damage) on Oct. 29 at Janss and Moorpark roads. A car's paint was scratched ($1,000 in damage) in the 2500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard or in the 100 block of S. Figueroa Street in Los Angeles on Oct. 24 or 25. A vandal threw a rock and smashed a driver's side window, causing $2,000 in damage, on Oct. 24 or 25 in the 1500 block of Calle Fidelidad. A vehicle was vandalized ($1,000 in damage) on Oct. 27 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On Oct. 26 or 27 in the 1500 block of Charterwood Court (driver's window was down); and on Oct. 25 or 26 in the 1400 block of N. Moorpark Road (window broken, $250 in total damage). Westlake/T.O. The Do-it Center at 3775 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard sustained $1,500 in vandalism damage on Oct. 25 or 26. A purse was stolen from a shopping cart between 7 and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 in the 2700 block of Agoura Road. Charged with committing petty theft with priors, a male, 19, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 29 in the 5700 block of Lindero Canyon Road. A female, 35, was arrested on suspicion of committing identity theft crimes—using personal information to obtain someone else's money and co-signing for an apartment without another person's permission—at 2:45 p.m. Oct. 29 in Simi Valley. The crime allegedly occurred in the 900 block of S. Westlake Boulevard on Aug. 13. On charges of being involved in a hit-and-run traffic accident and giving false information to police, a male, 22, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 26 at Eagles Claw Avenue and Westlake Boulevard. A burglar broke into and stole property from Computer Spirit Inc. and Veta Insurance Group in the 2600 block of Townsgate Road in the early morning of Oct. 27. The total loss was $10,000. Someone stole Los Angeles Lakers basketball tickets from a building between Oct. 14 and 28 in the 3800 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. |
