CHP office to host job fair next Thursday
      Local residents between the ages of 20 and 35 who are considering a career in law enforcement are invited to attend the California Highway Patrol Job Fair from 1 to 5 p.m. next Thurs., Nov. 13 at the Moorpark Police Services Center on Spring Road.

Pedestrian leaving marketplace hit by SUV, killed
      Moorpark resident Margaret Figueroa, 65, was walking out of the vehicle exit of the Janss Marketplace parking structure near Marshall's department store two weeks ago Friday when she was struck by a 2001 Chevy Suburban driven by Thousand Oaks resident Suzette Quance, 43.

      Newbury Park Three males, either 21 or 22, were charged with the following: attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon likely to cause great bodily injury, assault, brandishing a deadly weapon, battery and conspiracy to commit a crime. 75-minute crime spree in T.O. results in arrests of 3 men
      From 11:15 p.m. Wed., Oct. 29 until 12:30 a.m. Oct. 30, three men drove around T.O., allegedly committing various crimes for an hour and 15 minutes. Police said the threesome allegedly committed two robberies, two assaults, brandished a weapon and vandalized a vehicle. No victims, authorities said, sustained any serious injuries.
