Church Women United to celebrate World Community Day in T.O.

The local chapter of Church Women United will celebrate world Community Day on Fri., Nov. 7 at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 588 Camino Manzanas, Thousand Oaks.

Coffee will be served beginning at 10 a.m. and the service will start at 10:30 a.m.

The theme of the service is "God's wisdom sets us free." According to event organizers, the event will be "calling us to look at the struggles in our own lives as we reflect on how we are called to minister to others, especially those in prison. This celebration explores how we can reach out with God's wisdom and love to those behind bars, whether made of steel or of human limitations."
