Navy Reserve Seaman Apprentice Dennis G. Stone recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2005 graduate of Thousand Oaks High School and son of Ana Maria and Larry Stone of Thousand Oaks.

Army Pvt. Michael B. Sperkoski has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 1992 graduate of Westlake High School. Sperkoski is the son of Bryan Sperkoski of Westlake Village and P.J. Marshall of Thousand Oaks.
