Postcard sales will help shelter

The Agoura Animal Shelter is sponsoring a fundraiser for Malibu Pet Companions, the nonprofit group that supports funding for medical care for the homeless pets at the shelter.

The shelter is selling postcards whereby a person can make a donation in someone's name to the organization.

The postcards can be placed in a holiday card or a stocking, or they can be added to a gift basket or flowers.

Postcards are available at the shelter as well as at local veterinarian offices and businesses.

Receipts are included for tax write-offs.
