Exchange holiday lights for LEDs

Thousand Oaks residents will be allowed to trade in old holiday lights for new strands of LED (light emitting diode) energy saving holiday lights through an exchange event conducted by the city of Thousand Oaks Public Works Department through the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance, in partnership with Southern California Edison.

The program runs until 5 p.m. tomorrow, Nov., 7, at the city of Thousand Oaks Public Works Department, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Participants must have Thousand Oaks residence identification to ensure eligibility. The number of light strands allowed for exchange is limited to one per household.
