Audubon Societsets calendar

The Conejo Valley Audubon Society has announced its events calendar for November.

Ron Barns will lead a group to Ahmanson Ranch at 8 a.m. Sun., Nov. 16. The group will look for sparrows, perching and grassland birds, and Lewis woodpeckers. Participants should meet at the Rancho Road ParkandRide. For more information, call Barns at (818) 991-9967.

Tom Halpin will lead a group to Fillmore area hotspots at 8 a.m. Sun., Nov. 23. The Fillmore settling ponds, Camulos Adobe and the fish hatchery will be visited. Participants should meet at the Janss Park-and-Ride at 7:30 a.m. or at Vons at the intersection of highways 23 and 126 at 8 a.m. For more information, call Halpin at (805) 746-4598.
