Unique cupcakes a product of two Newbury Park mothers

Two Newbury Park mothers, after 25 years of friendship, were tired of the same old flavors from the grocery stores, so they came up with their own unique concoctions and made them into cupcakes.

Both are the wives of firemen and have six children between them. After baking for numerous school parties and fire station gettogethers, they decided to start "Why Not Cupcakes?"

Home-based, they've started off small and personal, with the hopes of expanding to a retail store soon.

The gourmet flavors are perfect for all occasions. The menu includes basic flavors, and the women have also created flavors such as Funky Monkey, Diggin' Dirty and Raspberry Rhapsody.
