Narcotics investigators allege that drug delivery service was operating
Cocaine and cash found in Thousand Oaks home
      Thousand Oaks police investigators from the East County Narcotics Street Team have arrested a man they allege was a drug dealer operating a cocaine delivery service in Thousand Oaks. At 5 p.m. on Oct. 14, Omar Santos, 23, was arrested in a parking lot at Moorpark Road and Hillcrest Drive and charged with selling cocaine from his blue Ford Focus.

      Newbury Park A male, 24, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 6:45 a.m. Oct. 19 at Borchard Road and Los Vientos Drive. A male and a female, both 22, were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance around 2 p.m. Oct. 23 in the 2800 block of Camino Dos Rios.

      A thunderous sound coming from the exhaust system is the first indication a catalytic converter has been stolen from underneath a vehicle that had been running quietly earlier.

New cops graduate
      The Ventura County Criminal Justice Training Center will graduate Academy Class No. 2008-2 in a ceremony at 1 p.m. Fri., Oct. 31 at the Camarillo Community Church auditorium, 1322 Las Posas Road, Camarillo. Patrick Hunter, mayor of Moorpark, will be the guest speaker.

Robber strikes twice, minutes apart
      A robber who grabs money through a drivethrough restaurant window is a rare occurrence in itself, but police allege the same guy who robbed a Del Taco in Newbury Park also grabbed money from the register of a Thousand Oaks gas station a few minutes later.
