Turn your clocks back on Sunday when standard time returns

You'll get an extra hour on Sunday to spend with family and friends, or to read, or to study the ballot propositions, because daylight-saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sun., Nov. 2.

Saturday night before you go to bed is also a good time to change the time on all household clocks and electronic devices, and to change the batteries on smoke alarms. Clocks are moved back in autumn.

Daylightsaving time will return at 2 a.m. Sun., March 8 when clocks will "spring forward."
