AYSO donates money to park district

The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Region 9 Thousand Oaks donated $370,000 to Conejo Recreation and Park District at the CRPD board meeting on Oct. 9.

The donation will be used to help defray the approximate $3.1million cost of construction of the Conejo Creek South Phase 2 improvements, estimated to be complete in early 2009. The improvements include a new paved parking lot, three soccer fields and additional turfed areas.

AYSO plans on raising an additional $300,000 to contribute to the multiphase construction period.
