Janss Marketplace invites families to Spooktacular

A Halloween Spooktacular will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Fri., Oct. 31 at Janss Marketplace, Hillcrest Drive and Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. The event is free. Children will be able to takpart in safe trick-or-treating aparticipating merchants in thshopping center. The second annual pet costumcontest will award a $100 gift certificate from one of the Janss stores. Batasha the Witch will tell not-so-spooky Halloween stories.

Janss' inaugural Adventure Day will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. the next day, Sat., Nov. 1.

Adventure Day will offer a rock climbing wall, BMX demonstration, video game trailer, mad science camp and live performance from the students of "Rock Nation."
