'Sleepy Hollow' radio drama coming to Thousand Oaks

Every Now and Then Theatre and the city of Thousand Oaks TOTV Channel 10 are teaming up to provide an adaptation of Washington Irving's classic tale of schoolmaster Ichabod Crane encountering the headless horseman on All Hallows Eve.

"Sleepy Hollow—The Lost Diaries" radio drama, hosted by actor Malcolm McDowell, will be broadcast on Channel 10 on Halloween, Fri., Oct. 31, at 9 a.m. and 5 and 11 p.m. A photo montage for the TV screen will accompany the soundtrack.

This original 2007 broadcast on AM 1520 KVTA won an International OMNI Intermedia Award for radio entertainment and an International Communicator Silver Award of Distinction.

Troupe founder and codirector James M. Wortman wrote the adaptation, giving the ending a surprise plot twist.
