Domestic violence workshop comes to T.O.

The Partnership for Safe Families and Communities of Ventura County will recognize October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month by hosting "It Takes a Village: A Workshop on the Impact of Domestic Violence as a Means of Preventing Family Violence" on Sat., Oct. 18 in Thousand Oaks.
The two-hour workshop will discuss how domestic violence impacts a child's early brain development. Participants will be taught the warning signs of domestic violence and will be provided with local resource information.
An art workshop will be provided for children ages 6 to 12.
There will be a barbecue following the presentation.
