Bodysattva Healing Arts Center opens Movement Studio

Bodysattva Healing Arts Center officially opens its expanded office with the addition of a Movement Arts Center during an open house from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sat., Oct. 18 on the second floor of Gold Coast Plaza, 1414 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Ste. 211, Thousand Oaks.

The open house will present a wide variety of demonstrations and classes throughout the day at no charge, healthy snacks, drawings for gift certificates and door prizes.

The Movement Arts Center offers Pilates, Gyrotonic and Yamuna Body Rolling in both group and private lessons to those seeking alternatives to traditional gyms and power workouts. Exercise programs are personalized and designed for various levels of an integrated approach to fitness.

The Movement Center offers experienced, professionally trained and certified instructors teaching group Pilates mat classes, as well as private and semiprivate personalized Pilates sessions.

The "Pink Ribbon Program" provides Pilates, postoperative workouts for breast cancer survivors that are taught by specially trained instructors.

Dr. Shana Berger, a chiropractor and somatic bodywork coach, opened the Healing Arts Center in 2003 with Barbara Jo Fleming, D.C. During the past 15 years, Bodysattva's staff has grown to 22 practitioners including a physical therapist, offering massage therapy, acupuncture, nutritional counseling, yoga, NIA movement therapy classes and chiropractic care.
