Youth Chorale holds auditions

Auditions for the Master Chorale Children and Youth are being scheduled and will be held throughout October.

Under the umbrella of the Master Chorale of Ventura County, children ages 8 to 17 will have the opportunity to learn rhythm reading, sight singing, proper breathing and voice placement.

The chorale is divided into three groups: Bel Canto girls ages 8 to 12, Master Boys Choir ages 8 and older with unchanged voices, and the Teen Chorale ages 13 to 17 and experienced younger singers.

Rehearsals are held weekly on Mondays at Trinity Lutheran Church near Ventura College with multiple performances planned for winter and spring. A European tour is planned for June 2010.
