Chabad celebrates Sukkot, Simchat Torah
      Chabad will be traveling the community with a Sukkah Mobile, a sukkah (hut) mounted on a flatbed truck, today through Sun., Oct. 19. The mobile will visit local shopping centers and senior homes, offering all Jews the opportunity to come inside the sukkah and make a blessing on the palm branch and citron.

      At Episcopal parishes around the country, increasing numbers of volunteers are putting their faith to work with hoes and trowels, drip systems and harvesting baskets. Community gardens are producing fresh, local vegetables for gardeners and food pantries, stewarding land and biological diversity, and connecting people across cultures and generations.

The evening's panel will speak in favor of legalizing same sex marriage and will take questions from the audience.
