Monday the last day to register to vote

The last day to register to vote for the Nov. 4 presidential general election is Mon., Oct. 20. The completed voter registration form must be postmarked by that date to be included in the election.

Registration forms are available throughout the county at city halls, post offices, libraries, Chambers of Commerce and fire stations.

Registration forms may also be downloaded at www.recorder .countyofventura.org/elections.

Forms are also available at the office of the Ventura County Elections Division in the Ventura County Government Center, Hall of Administration, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura. Counter hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Those who would like to vote by mail must fill out the application on the back cover of the sample ballot book or write a letter to the Elections Division Office requesting a Vote By Mail ballot.

All Vote By Mail applications must reach the Elections Division Office by Tues., Oct. 28.

Voters may also come to the Elections Division Office and start voting at any time until Election Day.

All completed Vote By Mail ballots must be returned to the County Elections Division by 8 p.m. on Election Day or dropped off at any of the city clerk's offices in the county.

Voted ballots may also be dropped off at any polling place in the county on Election Day, Tues., Nov. 4.
