Fresh & Easy Neighborhood market will soon open at Wendy Drive and Old Conejo Road in Newbury Park.

Before the opening, residents are invited to nominate a local nonprofit organization to receive a $1,000 donation. The store will present the donation to the group during the opening day celebration.

To make a nomination, visit www.freshandeasy.com/ goodneighbor and state reasons for the nomination in 150 words or less. Store employees will vote on submissions and choose an organization.

The submission deadline is Oct. 31.
