The Conejo Valley Genealogical Society will hold a meeting from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. Tues., Oct. 21 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Guest speaker Ed Mann will discuss "The Blue and the Gray: The Richmond Howitzers." He will play the part of a Confederate officer talking about the causes of the war and secession. Afterwards he will discuss present day history, Civil War history and genealogical issues.

Guests are welcome, and refreshments will be served.
