The Calabasas High girls' tennis squad saw its 86-match Marmonte League winning streak come to an end last Thursday when the Coyotes were defeated on the road by Thousand Oaks 77-67 in games after being tied at nine sets each.

The Marmonte loss was the first for the Coyotes since the program moved from the Frontier League in 2002.

"I knew they had been the class of the league for a while, but I wasn't even aware of the streak when we beat them," Thousand Oaks head coach Dave Assorson said.
