A longtime Chicago Cubs fan, Appelbaum made good on a bet after the Dodgers swept the Cubs in three games during the recent National League Division Series. The Cubs, heavily favored to beat the Dodgers, haven't won a World Series in 100 years. The Dodgers play the Philadelphia Phillies tonight in the opening game of the National League Championship Series.
