Locals are called to the Torah

Kayla Sadwick was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on July 21 at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, Israel, while on a two-week temple trip with her family, Rabbi Richard Spiegel, and other members of Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks. She's the daughter of Nancy Paul of Thousand Oaks.

Hannah Rioswas called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Sept. 27. She's an eighth-grade student at Colina Middle School and the daughter of Rachel and Michael Rios of Westlake Village.

Hannah Kaplan was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Sept. 27 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks. She's an eighthgrade student at Redwood Middle School and the daughter of Betsy and Glenn Kaplan of Thousand Oaks.
