PRACTICES START TONIGHT- Taylor Atkins, the reigning Miss California Teen USA, is scheduled to perform and be master of ceremonies at a pageant on Sun., Nov. 30 at the Pacifica Performing Arts Center, 600 W. Gonzales Road in Oxnard. Practices for applicants begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Brekke Elementary School, 1400 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, also in Oxnard. There are two categories: Teen, ages 13 to 17, and Miss, ages 17 to 25. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, never married or pregnant, and residents of California for the last six months.
