Likes Andersen for school board

I'm so very pleased to see John Andersen running for Conejo Valley Unified School District school board this election season. John is a man who truly walks and talks the life. His family values work hand in hand with his goals and achievements in our community.

Two years ago, he had the foresight to campaign in preparing for declining enrollment, but the board majority chose to sit on their hands during that time. He is one of few who consistently attend board meetings to keep abreast of the issues and offer definitive solutions.

After listening to John speak time and time again in both public and private forums, I've always been impressed by his decisiveness and commitment to inclusiveness, holding no special interest groups in mind.

It's obvious he understands why families are leaving the district, and he has steps to help give them a desire to stay. John's three children have attended K-12 in CVUSD, and he sees the needs at every level.

As a coach, resident and business owner in this community for over 25 years, he's well-respected and admired. His classy disposition, positive attitude and genuine smile never seem to waiver.

As a mother of four children enrolled in this district, I would be proud to have John Andersen represent our schools and am confident he would hold our community values at the highest level. Gina Conti Westlake Village
