Classical guitarists to play at Episcopal church

Los Angeles Electric 8, an eight-member chamber group of classically trained guitarists, will perform at 5 p.m. Sun., Oct. 12 at The Church of the Epiphany (Episcopal), 5450 Churchwood Drive, Oak Park.

This event is part of the 2008-09 season for Music at The Church of the Epiphany, an annual series of recitals, concerts and choral services.

The group specializes in the interpretation of classical works and world music on electric guitars.

At this performance, the ensemble will perform selections from J.S. Bach, Italian Renaissance composers Giovanni Gabrieli and Giovanni Domenico Rognoni Taeggio, and contemporary composers Nathaniel Braddock and Phil Klein.

Admission is a recommended donation of $35 per family, $15 per adult and $5 per child, student, and senior.
