City accepting enhancement grant applications

The city of Thousand Oaks Public Works Department will accept applications for the 200809 Community Enhancement Grant Program from Wed., Oct. 1 to Fri., Oct. 31.

The program provides grants

o nonprofit community and school groups to raise funds to support group activities. In turn,

he groups volunteer for a community beautification project. A

otal of $45,000 is available.

Organizations must be in Thousand Oaks with at least 80 percent of their members resid

ng within city boundaries.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee who will make a recommendation to the City Council for grant awards.

Grant applications and guidelines are available at www .toaks.org, at the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library, Newbury Park Branch Library and Thousand Oaks City Hall Public Works Department.
