Center for Spiritual Living hosts public speaking seminar

The Center for Spiritual Living will host a public speaking seminar titled "A Word Is Worth A Thousand Pictures" from 1 to 4 p.m., Sun., Sept. 28 at the center, 880 Hampshire Road, Ste. V and W, Westlake Village.

The workshop is designed for professionals in management, sales, marketing, real estate, advertising or any field that requires the development of effective public speaking capabilities.

International motivational speaker and public speaking coach Paulette Jones of Newbury Park will lead the seminar. She will teach how to capture the attention of the audience within the seconds and hold it until the end. Speakers will also learn how to project a commanding presence with confidence.

Jones has studied screen acting at Warner Brothers studios, operated and managed her own acting repertory theatre company, coached actors and taught acting and improvisational theatre workshops. She also has held senior management positions in the high technology industry and studied effective communication for more than 20 years.

The cost of the workshop is $60.
