Newbury Park

Using a knife, somebody attempted to steal property belonging to a male, 25, at 7:10 p.m. Sept. 15 on Newbury Road, east of Ventu Park.

On suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places shown: A male, 44, at 10:18 p.m. Sept. 11 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road; a female, 52, at 2:02 a.m. Sept. 11 in the 4500 block of Via Rio; a male, 27, at 12:45 a.m. Sept. 8 at Wendy Drive and Jessica Street; and a male, 27, at 2:07 a.m. Sept. 13 in the 500 block of Avenida del Platino.

On suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, a male, 38 was arrested in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive at noon Sept. 15.

A male, 59, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence at 5:02 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 500 block of Strauss Drive.

On suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, a male was recently arrested in Ventura. The vehicle was reportedly stolen on Sept. 14 from an address in Newbury Park.

Burglars tried to steal valuables from a trailer parked in front of a business the night of Sept. 14 in the 3800 block of Old Conejo Road.

The loss was less than $400 when somebody stole valuables from a woman in the 3500 block of Ramrod Court on Sept. 12 or 13.

Security cameras were damaged ($500 loss) at a business in the 1300 block of Lawrence Avenue between 6 and 7:02 p.m. Sept. 12.

A bicycle was stolen during daytime on Sept. 11 in the 1600 block of Rancho Conejo Boulevard.

Around 11:15 p.m. Sept. 14, several subjects were observed loitering near a home in the 2200 block of Mapleleaf Avenue. Then they attempted to prowl the home's backyard.

For alleged public intoxication, a male, 26, was taken into custody at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 15 after he was found lying on a sidewalk somewhere in Newbury Park.

Thousand Oaks

A male, 21, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 3 in the 3000 block of Crescent Way involving an incident at Royal Oaks Drive near Hampshire Road.

Deputies responded at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 16 to a location on Bordero Lane after a male, 33, was allegedly causing a disturbance. When police arrived, the subject barricaded himself and his infant son in a bedroom. He was ordered several times to open the door. When forced entry was made so that peace officers could check on his welfare and that of his 8monthold child, the man allegedly shielded himself for a short time with the baby before placing the child in a crib. He then allegedly resisted arrest and caused an officer to be shot with a taser gun. Another officer sustained a cut on his forehead during the altercation, and the suspect allegedly kicked another officer. The suspect was arrested on multiple citations.

A 59-year-old woman was allegedly battered by somebody she knew at 3 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 2300 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Golf carts were stolen in the 200 block of S. Moorpark Road on Sept. 12 or 13.

On suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs, the following were arrested: A female, 49, at 9:45 p.m. Sept. 15 on La Granada, west of Erbes Road; a female, 19, at 11:41 p.m. Sept. 15 on Gainsborough, west of Camino Manzanas; a female, 64, at 10:15 p.m. Sept. 13 at Calles Pimiento and Olivo (subject allegedly sideswiped another vehicle at avenidas de Los Arboles and de Las Plantas); a male, 20, at 8:31 p.m. Sept. 13 at the dead end of Calle Haya (subject also allegedly tried to evade arrest); a male, 53, at 12:15 p.m. Sept. 11 at Dallas and Masterson drives; a male, 31, at 1:10 p.m. Sept. 10 on Moorpark Road, north of T.O. Boulevard; and a male, 23, at 3:33 p.m. Sept. 15 on St. Charles Drive, north of Wilbur Road (motorist allegedly had driven on the wrong side of Wilbur).

On suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, the following were arrested at the times, dates a places indicated: A female, 22, at 10:14 p.m. Sept. 14 at Olsen Road and the 23 Freeway; a male, 34, at 11:36 p.m. Sept. 13 at Hillcrest Drive and Rancho Conejo Boulevard; a male, 23, at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at Calles Tulipan and Bouganvilla; a female, 23, at 10:11 p.m. Sept. 12 in the 1400 block of El Cerrito Drive (authorities had responded to a "person not breathing" call and six pills were found for which the subject had no prescription); a female, 46, at 9:45 p.m. Sept. 12 in the 500 block of Avenida del Platino; a male, 42, at 4 p.m. Sept. 10 in the 1300 block of Thousand Oaks Bouelvard; a female, 48, at 4:50 a.m. Sept. 12 in the 400 block of Saddle Trail (drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be cocaine allegedly found in her possession); a male, 44, at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 3 in the 900 block of Calle Tulipan (also cited for possessing illegal tracer rounds); and a male, 47, at 6:35 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 100 block of Summerfield Street;

After authorities responded to a street fight, a male, 19, was arrested at 12:06 p.m. Sept. 14 in the first block of Maegen Place. The subject also allegedly attempted to flee and had to be restrained before he was taken into custody.

A female, 22, was arrested on an allegation of felony vandalism at 8:36 p.m. Sept. 16 in a Cal Lutheran University parking lot.

Somebody entered a laundry room the night of Sept. 9, broke into the coin box of a washing machine and stole money in the 1300 block of E. Hillcrest Drive.

Between 11:35 and 11:40 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 3500 block of Willow Lane, a vehicle was burglarized (the loss exceeded $500; a trailer and vehicle were both targeted).

The estimate of damage was $1,000 after a vehicle was "keyed" and a tire was slashed at Acacia Elementary School between 5 and 7 p.m. Sept. 11.

While authorities were investigating a Sept. 14 physical altercation, a male, 19, falsely identified himself. When he was contacted later, he allegedly resisted arrest at 4:50 p.m. The incident occurred at Los Feliz Drive and Conejo School Road around 11:05 a.m.

A bicycle was stolen from a garage between 12:30 and 5:30 a.m. Sept. 12 in the 3000 block of Rollings.

Somebody was caught trying to steal sunglasses from a store in the 300 block of W. Hillcrest Drive at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 13.

A female, 24, was caught when she allegedly tried to steal merchandise from a drugstore at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Vandalism of vehicles was reported in the following: On Sept. 10 or 11 in the 300 block of Massey Street (window broken); and the night of Sept. 15 in the 1100 block of Canyon Crest Court (two tires slashed).

Vandals caused damage in the following: The night of Sept. 10 in the 1400 block of Oberlin Avenue (more than $400 loss); between Sept. 11 and 16 at Laurie Lane and Wilbur Road (stop sign and utility box damaged with graffiti, loss of more than $400); and at 8:15 p.m. Sept. 16 in a parking lot at Cal Lutheran University (more than $400 damage).

A carpet cleaner (a male, 36) was arrested for allegedly stealing possessions from a homeowner. The arrest occurred in the 2300 block of La Granada, the incident allegedly occurred the afternoon of Sept. 11 in the 1600 block of Kent Place.

For operating a catering vehicle without a license, a male, 63, was cited at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 12 at Rolling Oaks Drive and Hampshire Road.

A vehicle was vandalized with a sharp object the night of Sept. 12 in the 1300 block of Pathfinder Avenue. The loss was estimated at $500.

Unknown subjects entered a business the afternoon of Aug. 31 with the intent to steal merchandise in the 100 block of Promenade Way.
