New staff members added to health center OakView, the new health center at University Village Thousand Oaks, has announced the appointment of two key staff members. OakView is open to the general public as well as the residents of University Village. Shelly Cunningham has been named health center administrator. She will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of OakView assisted living and skilled nursing, including all financial and regulatory responsibilities. She will also supervise the managers of the nursing, marketing, food and beverage, and activities departments. Cunningham brings more than 12 years of experience in the field of health care center administration to her new position, with expertise in management, operations, and staff recruitment and development. Prior to joining OakView, Cunningham was the associate administrator for ParkVista, the on-site health center for Morningside of Fullerton, which is also operated by Continuing Life Communities LLC, the owner/operator of University Village. In addition, she worked as director of admissions for Rehabilitation Centre of Beverly Hills. A resident of Thousand Oaks, Cunningham graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor's degree in public administration. Tim Pinkevich joins OakView as director of assisted living. Pinkevich will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day care of residents and for supervising the direct care staff. In addition, he will handle OakView's compliance with all regulatory issues and conduct admission assessments. Prior to this position, Pinkevich was an administrator for Abundant Care Inc. in Santa Barbara. He also served as the dining room supervisor at Morningside of Fullerton in charge of the dietary department operations. Pinkevich has a master's degree in social work from Brest Pedagogical Institute in Belarus, and is certified by the state of California as a residential care facility for the elderly administrator.
