Locals called to the Torah at Temple Etz Chaim

Jonah Polkes was called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Aug. 23 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks. He's an eighth-grade honor student at Redwood Middle School and the son of Alysa and Bruce Polkes of Thousand Oaks.

Joseph Rutkin was called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Aug. 23 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks. He's an eighthgrade student at Sycamore Canyon Middle School and the son of Cathie and Richard Rutkin of Newbury Park.

Eliana Lasarow was called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Aug. 30 at Temple Etz Chaim in Thousand Oaks. She's a seventh-grade student at Redwood Middle School and the daughter of Sandy and Bill Lasarow of Thousand Oaks.
