Ventura County explains how to vote by mail Ventura County residents who have registered to vote by mail can pick up their ballots starting Mon., Oct. 6 at Ventura County Elections Division, Hall of Administration, lower plaza, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura. All voters registered to receive their ballots by mail should receive their ballots during the week of Oct. 6. The ballot for the Nov. 4 presidential general election is two cards. Voters can return their ballots by one of the following methods: 1. U.S. Mail first class postage of 79 cents. 2. Drop off at the city clerk's office in any of the 10 city halls in the county. 3. Return the completed ballots in person to the Ventura County Elections Division between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. 4. Drop off at any Ventura County polling place on Election Day. All ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. Tues., Nov. 4 to be counted. Postmarks do not count. The last day to request a vote by mail ballot is Tues., Oct. 28. Voters may check that their ballot has been received and verified by the county by calling (805) 654-2664 or by visiting www.recorder.countyofventura.org/ elections.htm. |
