Lincoln-related storytelling coming to Reagan Library
Jim Woodard, a storyteller from Ventura, will present storytelling programs at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sat., Sept. 20 and Sun., Sept. 21 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.
Woodard will tell stories about the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation and other events in the life of Abraham Lincoln.
The storytelling programs coincide with family activities celebrating the Emancipation Proclamation as part of the museum's Forever Free exhibit. Activities will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The original Lincoln-signed document will be on display.
It's on loan from the National Archives and Records Administration.
