Newbury Park

A male, 48, was suspected of being under the influence of a controlled substance and also possessing counterfeit identification, other people's mail with their personal information and glass smoking pipes with burnt residue. The subject was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road.

On suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the following subjects were arrested at the times, dates and places indicated: A female, 50, at 12:45 a.m. Sept. 3 on Lupe Avenue north of Borchard Road; a female, 39, at 2:08 a.m. Sept. 7 at Wendy Drive and Walter Avenue; and a male, 28, at 2:10 a.m. Sept. 8 at Avenida de Los Arboles and Lynn Road.

A male, 28, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 12:15 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 100 block of Newbury Lane.

A male, 38, left his child, under age 6, in a vehicle unattended with the engine running. The subject was cited for child endangerment at 5:10 p.m. Sept. 3 in the 400 block of Reino Road.

A male, 51, who allegedly slapped his 10-year-old daughter, causing a visible injury, was cited at 4:50 p.m. Sept. 3 in the 1700 block of Butterfly Court.

A male, 19, was arrested on a battery charge at 3:15 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 100 block of N. Reino Road.

A male, 23, who allegedly possessed several smoking pipes used for methamphetamine and a substance believed to be base cocaine, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. The subject also reportedly possessed stolen property, stolen checks, personal identity information, stolen vehicle title/registration and other items used for identity theft and forgery. The subject's girlfriend, 20, allegedly lied to police about her identity and was charged with the same crimes as her boyfriend.

A male, 20, punched someone in the face without warning around 11:20 p.m. July 11 in the 1700 block of Via Petirrojo. The subject was in custody in Santa Paula for separate charges, and he was charged with battery on Sept. 5.

A female, 18, was arrested and charged with obstructing justice at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 5 in the 500 block of N. Wendy Drive.

For entering a vacant house, four males between the ages of 19 and 22 were cited around 7:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 600 block of Ruth Drive.

A male, 18, was cited for trespassing at the Target store around 9:30 p.m. Sept. 7.

For allegedly being drunk in public, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 49, at 6:50 p.m. Sept. 4 in the 700 block of Wendy Drive; and a female, 24, at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 2400 block of Hillcrest Drive.

A vandal caused $7,000 in graffiti damage on Sept. 7 or 8 in the 200 block of Rancho Road.

Front-yard property was stolen on Sept. 5 in the 3000 block of Michael Drive.

Property valued at $60 was stolen from Dos Vientos Community Park on Sept. 6 or 7.

A vehicle had $350 in damage on Sept. 7 in the 2200 block of Michael Drive. Another vehicle was also vandalized ($300 loss) on Sept. 5 or 6 in the 2700 block of Borchard Road.
